Persecution in India
Help for those affected and communities

In India, the persecution of Christians has increased significantly in recent years and India currently ranks 11th on the World Persecution Index. The record of violence is appalling.
In the last 18 months, over 100 Christians have been deliberately murdered in Manipur, around 50,000 have been driven from their homes, their belongings burned down and several hundred churches destroyed. False accusations, raids and violence against Christians are the order of the day. Pastors and church workers in particular are exposed to threats and violence.
Nevertheless, the good news of Jesus Christ spreads like wildfire, especially in rural areas. The preaching of the gospel is accompanied by signs and wonders and thousands come to faith. This increases the pressure on Christians even more. That is why our brothers and sisters urgently need our help.
The situation of those affected
Christians often have to flee their villages without preparation when they are attacked and hide in the forests without shelter, clothing or food. Not only have they lost all their belongings, they also have no way of earning a living. They are also severely traumatized and need pastoral care. This is where our local partners are committed to providing holistic support to those affected:
Our projects

Emergency aid for displaced persons
They are given a place to stay and receive medical and pastoral care. If necessary, they also receive legal assistance. In addition, they receive one meal a day during their stay and can also recover from the stresses and strains of their escape to a safe place.
Help for reconstruction
If the displaced people are able to return to their villages, they receive building materials to rebuild their homes. They are often excluded from their village communities and are not allowed to use the public wells, for example. Here we finance the construction of wells or other vital infrastructure.
Building a new existence
In addition to the loss of all property, the loss of any source of income is often the main problem. Here we finance courses for vocational training or skills develop- ment, such as goat breeding. By giving away a goat as a start-up capital, enables the Christians trained in this way to build up a secure livelihood.
Strengthening the churches
In order to strengthen the churches, we support them in conducting training courses for pastors and evangelists as well as purchasing motorcycles so that the gospel can reach even the most remote areas. We also fund a “Jesus Youth Camp”, where young people can spend time together in a safe environment, experience Jesus together and grow spiritually.
We want to stand by our persecuted brothers and sisters. Are you with us?
