The Balkans – an unreached region!
Plant churches, share Jesus, help people

The Balkans are characterized by great diversity and a rich history. However, the economic and spiritual situation is extremely difficult. Many countries are still suffering from their communist-atheist past. Religious-nationalist movements are on the rise and Islam is gaining ground. In many Balkan countries, less than 0.3% of the population is Christian, and in no country is the percentage higher than 0.8%.
Most Balkan countries, such as Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, are known to us only from negative headlines. But the region has unique beauty and a rich history. The roots of Christianity date back to the first century AD.
Unfortunately, not much of this rich history remains today. The Ottoman Empire and the communist regimes of the past have largely eradicated the Christian church. Nationalist movements, which are often religious in nature, lead to mistrust and ethnic tensions, preventing the spread of the gospel across national borders.
But there is hope for the Balkans!
In many countries, there are very small but extremely vibrant churches. They are passionate about reaching their country with the gospel. They organize evangelistic events, street outreach, and social projects. They train evangelists and pastors to start new churches. However, they often lack the resources to get through the initial difficult period and achieve a long-term impact.

How we want to help

Evangelism
We support evangelistic events and street outreach. These include preaching, worship, and personal conversations to spread the message of Jesus Christ and reach people.
Church planting and expansion
We support church planters and finance the expansion of existing church buildings. This creates space for more people to attend church services, hear the Good News, and be strengthened in their faith.
Education and training
Training programs in evangelism and leadership empower believers to share the Good News in a sustainable way, including among Muslims. These training courses teach biblical strategies and practical approaches to evangelism and discipleship.
Printing and distribution of Christian literature
In order to spread the message of the Gospel in the Balkans, we finance the printing and distribution of tracts, brochures, and Bibles in modern language that are specifically aimed at the younger generation.
Let us join together to take advantage of this opportunity and generously support our committed brothers and sisters in the Balkans!
